Explore Craters of the Moon, a geothermal landscape in the Taupō Volcanic Zone, just north of Taupō. Follow a 40-minute loop through a valley of steaming fumaroles, geothermal craters and mud pools. Child policy: - Children under 5 years old are free of charge. - Children must remain with adults at all times, and young children must be closely supervised. Good to know: - If the emergency warning siren sounds for more than one minute, evacuate using the designated paths and follow staff instructions. - Last admission is 1 hour before closing time. The attraction is closed on 25 December.
